What we do
Developing high-integrity natural capital programmes with practical grounding and long-term value in mind.
Baltic Nature Capital develops landscape-based natural capital programmes at the intersection of ecological restoration, climate finance, biodiversity value, and long-term land stewardship.

We are not positioned as a general advisory business. We originate, structure, and help coordinate nature-based projects that connect environmental outcomes with practical implementation, stakeholder alignment, and long-term commercial relevance.
Our work is designed to unlock nature’s value not only through carbon, but also through biodiversity recovery, hydrological resilience, rural economic opportunity, and stronger long-term landscape management.
What We Do
Our Services
We support the development of natural capital programmes from early landscape identification through to implementation design and market readiness.

Project Development
Afforestation, peatland restoration, forest management, and biomass systems at scale.
Credit Generation
Carbon and biodiversity credits with full monitoring, reporting, and verification.
We structure and help deliver large-scale nature-based climate and biodiversity projects, ensuring that each initiative is supported by robust monitoring, clear legal and governance frameworks, and practical implementation pathways.
Our work spans the development of afforestation programmes, peatland restoration, improved forest management, wetland recovery, biodiversity enhancement, and biomass systems. These projects are designed with reference to recognised international standards and evolving market and policy frameworks where relevant.
Alongside carbon, we develop biodiversity and ecosystem credit models that protect and enhance Natura 2000 habitats, wetland systems, and species corridors. These projects are structured to generate both environmental value and standalone or integrated revenue streams.
We also design financial and governance structures that prioritise landowners, ensure transparency, and support long-term reinvestment into landscapes. Each project is built to function not only environmentally, but economically.
From initial baselining through to credit issuance, we manage the full monitoring, reporting, and verification process, aligning projects with national systems and international policy frameworks.
How This Works In Practice
Carbon Project Development
We identify suitable land, define project pathways, coordinate technical inputs, and structure afforestation, peatland restoration, improved forest management, and biomass systems for long-term implementation.
Biodiversity & Ecosystem Value
We develop projects that protect and enhance Natura 2000 habitats, wetland systems, species corridors, and ecological integrity, whether as standalone biodiversity opportunities or alongside carbon value.
Finance & Governance Structuring
We design delivery and revenue models that prioritise transparency, landholder benefit, and long-term reinvestment into landscapes.
MRV & Policy Alignment
We coordinate the route from baselining to project monitoring and credit issuance, aligning programmes with recognised standards and relevant policy frameworks.
Our internal programme materials reference recognised frameworks including VCS, CCB, FPIC-led governance support, and Article 6-aligned structuring through partner collaboration.
What Makes Baltic Nature Capital Different
Baltic Nature Capital combines strategic programme development with practical implementation grounding. Our work is shaped not only by market opportunity, but by direct experience in the landscapes where restoration and land-use transition must actually happen.
This includes experience connected to meadow management, protected landscapes, restoration-linked activity, and circular biomass systems in Latvia, as well as wider EU project ecosystems focused on habitat restoration, wetland recovery, and landscape stewardship.
Rather than building from theory alone, we build from implementation reality — connecting land, stakeholders, governance, and long-term value creation in a way that supports credible project delivery.
